Nutritious Tuna Salad

Tuna salad is a staple in most homes. It is easy to make a few adjustments to make it even healthier.

Prep Time: 15 min
Ingredients
1 can of solid white albacore tuna (184 g)
½ cup finely sliced celery
¼ cup finely chopped red onion
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh dill (or parsley)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ avocado mashed
¼ cup hummus
Handful of cranberries chopped (optional)
Instructions
Drain the excess water from the tuna can and transfer to a bowl. Break up the tuna into smaller pieces.
Add the celery, onion, dill or parsley, salt, pepper and lemon juice to the tuna and stir until combined.
Combine the avocado and hummus and add the mixture to the tuna. Combine well. Add the cranberries if desired.
Serve the tuna salad on toasted bread.
