Honey Garlic Chicken Drumsticks with Broccoli & Rice

Food safety: Wash your hands after handling raw chicken, use a separate cutting board if possible, and cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).


Ingredients

  • 6 chicken drumsticks (skin on or off)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 cups cooked brown or white rice


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.

  2. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, honey, garlic, soy sauce, paprika, and black pepper.

  3. Coat the drumsticks evenly with the sauce.

  4. Place the drumsticks in an air fryer or on a baking tray.

    • Air fryer: Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 18–20 minutes, turning halfway through.

    • Oven: Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 25–30 minutes, turning once halfway through.

  5. While the chicken cooks, steam or microwave the broccoli until tender-crisp (about 4–5 minutes).

  6. Serve the chicken with the broccoli and cooked rice.
