Children Now in collaboration with the Fédération de soccer du Québec organized a great soccer training day during the Snow Camp that Children Now organizes every year.
A big thank you to Eric Leroy, Helder Duarte, Valmie Ouellet and all the team of the Fédération de soccer du Québec for the training workshops that allowed young people to learn, to love and understand the basic soccer rules at the Honco Soccer Complex Charny (a professional soccer field). By the same token, the children were given vital information that will help them face the challenges of life.
The Snow Camp was held at the Centre de plein air Le Saisonnier in Lac Beauport on February 18, 19 and 20, 2015. Our young guests took advantage of the beautiful winter landscape with snow-covered trees and fresh air to breathe during the winter activities they practiced.
Each child received a number of gifts including a soccer ball, sleeping bag, pillow, very good winter boots, mittens, tuques, neck warmers, flashlights, towels and washcloths, etc. In addition, they received the following educational tools: Soccer Plus, Les jeunes et les trucs pour réussir : Accrochage scolaire avec un grand A and Les jeunes et les gangs de rue.
