This past summer, Children Now organized its annual summer camps for a total of 200 children from low-income households.
The camps were held at the Camp Domaine Scout St-Louis-de-France for children from Montreal and Trois-Rivières and at the Camp Keno for children from Quebec. The children were able to enjoy many activities such as canoeing, swimming, climbing, treasure hunting, campfire making, and forest hikes. By having fun in nature, these children had the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging and self-esteem whilst making new friends. They also received many useful gifts such as clothing, masks, a flashlight, a sleeping bag, a pillow, a soccer ball, a cap, soap, and a Leadership Now book.
It was truly a special experience that we are convinced they will remember throughout their lifetime. On behalf of the children, thank you to the team, donors, sponsors and all those involved for your continued support.
