Equal Start 2026: Back to School with Confidence
This past August, Children Now had the privilege of holding it’s annual back-to-school Equal Start Program at schools across Montreal, Trois-Rivières, and Quebec city.
The program aims to provide 500 children with school essentials to aid in getting a confident and strong start to the school year. Children are given backpacks filled with supplies that include lunch boxes, pencils, crayons, erasers, binders, notebooks, and more!
The Equal Start Program is intended to help ease the financial burden on low-income families so that their children can begin the school year on equal footing - feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
This initiative would not have been possible without our generous donors, sponsors, and the Children Now team. We would especially like to highlight Manmade’s generous donation and ongoing partnership in allowing us to help give children an Equal Start to the new year.
We invite you to watch the recap video and browse photos of the event and to click here to help us in our ongoing mission to foster a brighter future for all children, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
